To Follow Your Heart
As you walk the long road of making your dreams a reality, never lose sight of this teaching from Jesus: “A house divided against itself will fall.”
A house divided against itself can be the team members of your startup, each pulling in different directions.
A house divided against itself can be the members of your family, each willing different lives.
A house divided against itself can be your mind going against your heart, and your behaviours going against your will. Do you think and do what is in your heart?
When you follow your dreams, you must align your mind and your actions to your Spirit, and only then bring in the people aligned with your vision. But it all begins in your heart.
Your heart doesn’t care about what you think is good or bad, right or wrong. It doesn’t care about how much money you make, what the orders are, or what the law says —which is really nothing more than what other people say, or what the gains and benefits are. Your heart cares only to express yourself in Truth and love.
However, you do have the freedom to think and act against your heart. The environment you are in can influence your mind and drive you to suppress your will, causing you to behave in ways you know are not true. This will drag you into the darkest depression. You must summon the courage to think and act in ways greater than your beliefs, greater than the social circumstances, and extend only love. To be frank, it’s not easy—but it’s the only way.
